TranPak’s roots began in the mid 1990’s.  Marty Ueland, Owner of TranPak, was working for a ConAgra subsidiary when he was put in charge of plastics recycling for the company.  Marty lobbied to start the Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC), a national recycling program.  He collected plastics from agricultural, food, and chemical industries across the nation.  In the process, it was determined that a plastic pallet would be an ideal by-product of the various types of plastic that were being recycled.

Marty ventured out on his own and developed the MyPal plastic pallet in 1994.  During the 1990's, Marty spent most of the decade explaining the benefits of plastic pallets to potential customers who had never heard of a plastic pallet.

In 1998 TranPak contracted with IFCO Systems to provide a washing depot for Returnable Plastic Containers (RPC's).  It was the first facility in North America and was the launching pad for RPC's.  In 1998 IFCO rented 1.5M containers per year.  Today that number is in the hundreds of millions.

Over the years we have learned to recognize that not every product suits every user's needs.  Therefore we have worked tirelessly to establish relationships throughout our industry with any company that has unique and beneficial designs to offer our customers.  We distribute and represent pallets for most major manufacturers in North America, and many from Europe, Asia, Australia and South America.  Our pallet inventory is one of a kind in the United States so we have lots and lots of plastic pallets available for you to choose from for next day delivery from our D.C.'s

Our network and knowledge of plastics and material handling has translated into a wonderful success story.  We use these assets to continue the expansion of plastic pallets, to introduce new products and to promote the popular concept of reusability, returnability and recycling.
